Get Sandy.

The Ultimate Beach Volleyball Platform

Sound familiar?

Beach volleyball shouldn't feel like a second job.

A dozen group chats, one dead threadEvery event gets its own thread, and half of them are already ghost towns by next weekend.
No way to find a sub at 7amSomeone drops out and now you're texting everyone you know, hoping somebody's free.
Clinics that are either too easy or too hardNo real sense of who's actually going to be there, so you show up blind.
Waitlists that stress out the organizer more than the tournament itselfSpreadsheets, DMs, and manual tracking for something that should just work.

What you get

A community that actually shows up for you.

Here's how that goes now

Real situations, actually solved.

Someone drops out an hour before game timeInstead of a dead group chat, you post the open spot and it's filled before you've finished stretching.
You're playing a new beach and don't know anyone's levelEvery profile has a real rating built from real matches, so you know exactly what you're walking into.
You're running a tournament soloBrackets, waitlists, and entry fees build themselves. You spend the weekend playing, not babysitting a spreadsheet.
Why I built this

I just wanted to play more volleyball.

Hi, I'm Sam Rosati. NNS Session started because I was hosting tournaments for my friends and spending more time on admin than on the sand. What began as an informal thing kept growing, so I started building tools to automate the boring parts — so I could play more and manage less.

Along the way I realized the problem was bigger than my own admin headache: every session, clinic, tournament, and league in this sport runs on its own island. Every club and organization tracks its own results, on its own list, with no way to know how a Tuesday drop-in stranger stacks up against a provincial seed. So I built NNS Session to be the one hub that connects all of it — sessions, clinics, tournaments, challenge courts, drop-ins, leagues — with every game you record feeding a single skill rating, the same idea chess and ranked online games have used for years.

That rating is what makes the rest of it work: filter a session to your level, run a clinic for players in a tight skill band instead of a random mix, and if organizations share the same system, points and strength-of-field travel with you between clubs, cities, and provinces — so seeding gets fairer everywhere, not just inside one club's bracket. My goal is to show up on a beach I've never played before, open the app, and join a session I know I'll enjoy, because it's been filtered to my level.

Long term, that's how I want to grow the sport itself, not just the app. Step one is getting more people playing on it. Step two is more organizers, coaches, and clubs running their sessions, clinics, tournaments, and leagues through it, so a small platform fee on registrations can fund the next step instead of relying on sponsorships. Step three is putting that revenue back into the sport — sending Canadian athletes to compete abroad, investing in development here and beyond, and continuing to build the platform for everyone who plays.

Our philosophy

One rating, every court. Any game you record — in a session, a clinic, or a tournament, at any organization — counts toward the same ranking. No fragmented leaderboards, no walled-off point systems.

The bigger picture

Grow the game, then fund it. As more organizers run events through NNS, a small platform fee becomes capital we put back into the sport — sending athletes abroad and developing beach volleyball, here and everywhere it's played.

Questions

  • Do I need a partner?

No, you don't need a partner! NNS Session is built to help you find people to play with and sessions you can join solo.

  • What if I'm new to beach?

You're in the right spot. Find other new players at your level, then create or join a session together — or check out a clinic near you for guided coaching.

  • How does the rating work?

Every scored match updates your private-by-default Glicko-2 skill rating. See the full breakdown on the How It Works page.

  • Can I run my own tournament?

Yes! Submit an organizer application to get access to our tournament wizard and start hosting.

The next game is already on the calendar.
